Meet Melly! The writer and designer behind At Home With Melly

Growing up, Melly and her Mom moved around NYC quite a few times, settling into many different apartments. However, no matter where they landed, her Mom would always transform each space into a warm welcoming home. She painted walls, built furniture, installed backsplashes, and even reglazed a tub once. She had a natural gift for design and craftsmanship, and Melly was right there beside her, learning, helping and taking in every detail.

One of the things that she loved the most was that her Mom made every place, uniquely theirs. Every home was thoughtfully curated to reflect who they were and where they were at that moment in their lives. Moving around was at times challenging, however, they always found comfort in creatively making each new space feel like home.

Today, Melly carries this design philosophy with her. She believes you don't need to spend a fortune to a create a space that is warm, inviting, and deeply personal. With the right ideas, furniture pieces, and creativity, any space, large or small can be transformed into a home that reflects you.
